By onlinephd |

Welsh academic institution Bangor University is highly regarded as one of the top 15 universities in UK when it comes to excellence in teaching. The university is on the 251st rank among the top universities across the globe. It is involved in the regional Reaching Higher, Reaching Wider programme in Wales. It serves a major provider of education and training and one of the primary North Wales Clinical School partners. In line with its academic commitment, it continuously provides PhD scholarships to deserving students. And for the 2013-2014 academic year, it is happy to announce its Anniversary Research Scholarships.

As it places due concentration on supporting intellectually gifted but financially incapacitated students, Bangor University go extra mile and help them through its scholarship programmes and other academic funding opportunities. Among these studentships are available for students of its postgraduate and undergraduate degree programs. However, the main focus of this article is its Anniversary Research Scholarships.

The Bangor University Anniversary Research scholarships scheme gives qualified students opportunities to partner with its prominent leaders and academic figures. This scheme is part of the strategy of the university to improve in research excellence and enhance its research. As such, it is inviting interested applicants for its PhD scholarships for school year 2013-2014. The university notes that each of these studentships will offer funding for three years. It will be granting the scholarship awards based on its strategic needs and the relative academic achievement of the applicant. It will also notify the candidates on the result of their scholarship applications, but not on the feedback of each student.

These PhD scholarships will cover bursaries and studentships. Take note that the value of the studentships is more than that of the bursaries. They usually fund a three year PhD programme under full-time commitment at the university. Applicants for these scholarships may come from EU or UK and from other parts of the globe. However, application is limited only to those who have not yet registered and those who have just begun their academic career in PhD at the university. All applicants of the study grants need to pass their thesis in PhD in one year counting from the funding period’s end.

Note that the Bangor University Anniversary Research Scholarships are offered at the university’s College of Arts and Humanities faculty. Among the other scholarships offered by the school are the ESRC (for UK and European Candidates) Studentships at the Centre for Research on Bilingualism, the Fully Funded Scholarships at Bangor Business School, the 2 NERC Funded PhD Studentships (for School of Biological Sciences) and many more. The university is also offering Postgraduate Solutions Bursary and Postgraduate Widening Access Bursaries.

Moreover, these research PhD scholarships are now open for qualified applicants and can easily be obtained if all the requirements are met. Should you be interested then, contact the university and start reaching your dreams only at Bangor University.
