Online PhD Degree Programs-Colorado State University

Colorado State University was founded on 1870, which was six years before the Colorado Territory became a state. It was formerly known as the Colorado Agricultural College. Currently, it is a public institution of higher learning located in Fort Collins, Colorado in the United States. It is also the flagship campus of the Colorado State University System and is the state’s land grant university.
This university is also known for its world-class research on infectious disease, atmospheric science, clean energy technologies, and environmental science. Hence, it is one the leading research universities in America. Moreover, according to U.S. News and World Report’s rankings of America’s Best Colleges and Universities, Colorado State is ranked in the top tier of universities. In addition, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine says that CSU is one of the top public universities in the United States in terms of educational quality and affordability. Consequently, it’s the University of Choice for the Colorado inhabitants.
CSU offers among the best professional programs in the United States in the field of agriculture, construction, journalism, management, occupational therapy and veterinary medicine. Their Bachelor’s degrees are offered in 62 fields of study, with Master’s degrees in 59 fields and doctoral degrees in 38 fields of study, in addition to a professional degree in veterinary medicine.
Apart from their normal courses, CSU also offers distance learning programs at various levels; such as PhD degree programs, masters and undergraduate degrees. Colorado State University is committed in providing first class degrees and courses at any distance while being convenient anywhere at any schedule. Distance courses are mainly delivered through video taps, Internet and in some cases, with combination of both. Currently university is offering their distance PhD degree programs for engineering department (Electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, system Engineering) and Education and Human Resource Studies (Community College Leadership (CCL) and Educational Leadership, Renewal, and Change).
Both distance PhDs under Education and Human Resource Studies (Community College Leadership (CCL) and Educational Leadership, Renewal, and Change) will be delivered through online, on-campus and via audio conferencing. It is important to point out that both programs require two compulsory visits (per year) to complete these courses. As an entry requirement, you need a master’s degree from a recognized university. Students are required to finish 30 credits in core courses and 30 credits in research (60 credits total) to complete this course. Normally these PhD degree programs can take five and a half to six and a half years to complete.
