PhD Scholarships from University of Reading for 2013

If you are looking for an institution that offers you funding for your academic studies in higher education, consider the University of Reading as your option. The university has been considered by its students as the best place to study, to live, and to work as they continuously rate it as the top education experience. This could be attributed to its long tradition of education, training and research locally, nationally, and internationally. And to further its academic objectives such as helping financially incapacitated PhD student, it is offering PhD scholarships including 24 PhD Studentships at the Henley Business School, Ure Museum PhD Studentship, PhD Studentships Collections-Based Research Programme, and University Studentship, Fast and Furious: The Nature of Anticipation. All of these study grants are available in 2013.

The 24 PhD Studentships at the Henley Business School are being offered at the university for application until June 30, 2013. The PhD scholarships open students to great opportunity for jobs with utmost quality in financial institutions, academic positions in reputable universities, or huge organizations and consulting-related roles in top-notch businesses. Student award applications will be accepted beginning February 15, 2013, which will be appropriated in such time that all study grants are provided.

Ure Museum PhD Studentship funds tuition fees for the three-year full-time study of PhD students coming from EU, UK or overseas. Successful applicants of this study grant are expected to work curatorial on the Ure Museum for two days in a week as well as paid sessional teaching in the department from the programme’s year two. They need to be highly motivated as they hold their Masters Degree or its equivalent in a relevant topic. They have to complete an admission application form to the university’s Postgraduate Degree as well as a separate studentship application form. The closing date for the grant is until June 8, 2013.

The PhD Studentships Collections-Based Research Programme is available for EU/UK students, which is open until June 30, 2013. These PhD scholarships are considered as collections-based research programme. The programme is structured in 5 elements with the components including subject-specific thesis on research topic, a core skills and training module, weekly surgery, practice-centered learning portfolio and subject-specific advice and training disciplines. It can be taken either in a part time or a full time basis.

The University Studentship, Fast and Furious: The Nature of Anticipation is offered UK/EU students who want to pursue a degree in the School of Engineering of the university. It covers fees in EU/UK and minimum stipend at £13,726 for school year 2013-2014 for as much as for three years. Applicants to be considered are those who are enthusiastic on research and those who are interested in interdisciplinary research in the areas of cognitive science and cybernetical physics, neuroscience and combined analytic, computational and experimental techniques. They need to hold at least an honors degree at the ration of 2:1 level or its equivalent in cybernetics, mathematics, control and systems engineering, or physics.

All these PhD scholarships are now open for application for the 2013-2014 school year.
