An online PhD UK in Clinical Psychology is now attainable from the Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, England; a university founded in 1962 which was primarily established as a church school. What was founded by the Church of England as a religious institution gained university status in 2005 after having demonstrated high quality degree programmes and the achievements of students and staff members who also went under assessment. Today Canterbury Christ Church University has five teaching faculties, three campuses, and over 14,000 students enrolled.
The online PhD UK course in Clinical Psychology is a three year programme designed to train psychology graduates in order for them to become Clinical psychologists, eligible for charter by the British Psychological Society. The programme also aims to produce successful candidates who will be qualified for employment by the National Health Service as Clinical Psychologists. Candidates for this online PhD UK course must have graduate basis for the BPS; at least an upper second class honours degree; high level academic capability; relevant professional experience; and research abilities demonstrating the capacity to complete intensive training.
Applicants from diverse and minority backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Each year trainees will have NHS clinical placement. During the first year students will work with adults; and children and adolescents for year two; and they will work with adults once again and do specialist training in year three. All throughout the programme teaching on research will occur. Students will then come up with a 25,000- word independent research.
Month of entry is in September. All accepted students must be willing to work for the NHS. About 36 places are available for trainees every year. They will be selected as they go through and interview panel and a presentation panel.
