Students in ProfD online PhD degree programs are a mix of experienced professionals in senior positions and those in junior positions who are on the rise in their companies or organizations.
Entry to this online PhD degree programs is open to applicants with a Masters degree or a first or upper second class Honours degree (or the equivalent qualifications) and who have demonstrated the capacity for conducting doctoral-level research as shown through the successful completion of projects such as a Masters-level thesis, policy research, workplace evaluations or other contextualized research. They must also have at least five years of relevant work experience in a profession or industry. The program comprises four study subjects and the submission of a professional doctorate innovation portfolio consisting of research products with demonstrable impact in the candidate’s professional setting.
Participants in this online PhD degree programs will be assigned advisers from the UNE faculty and from industry (chosen by the student) who will work with them to design and supervise the research projects. Duration of the course is six years on a part-time basis.
