The University has a solid record for graduate employability, which means your degree would pave the way for high-level employment in academic field as a university professor or lecturer, in the private sector as a high-level analyst or researcher, or in international non-government organizations such as the World Bank. Research proposals from online PhD UK candidates are expected to be within the following general research themes: international finance, development economics, economic thought, labor economics, health economics and European integration. Applicants to the program must hold at least a Master of Arts in Economics, or an equivalent qualification, from a UK university or other recognized higher education institution. If the applicant does not have the required prerequisites, they are asked to enroll in a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) program first.
