The University of Birmingham now offers a Professional Doctorate in Business Administration. The civic university in England is a proud affiliate of the Russell Group of research intensive universities in the UK, Universitas 21, and the European Universities Association. University of Birmingham is also notable for being the home of the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, which houses the work of Picasso, Monet, and Van Gogh. It is currently ranked 10th in the UK by the Times HES.
The online PhD UK in Business Administration programme offers a part time doctoral qualification where academics and practical management are well integrated. It is specifically designed and suitable for experienced or working managers who wish to think deeper and more critically about their work.
Applicants who wish to take the course must have a taught postgraduate degree from a recognised institution, preferably a Master’s qualification. At least five years of working experience in a relevant area is also required. The DBA is a part time programme that may be accomplished in a minimum of four years. Students will be trained in the field of research for the first 15 months of the program. This will be in preparation for the 50,000-word thesis that students will submit to finalize the course. Taught modules will include an introduction to management research, research methods and design, modelling management, and qualifying research proposal.
September is the month of entry. Accepted students who get to undertake the online PhD UK programme may continue working whilst studying as it is only part-time.
