Online PhD UK – Cardiff University- Professional Doctorate in Health Studies

Cardiff University is one of the UK’s leading research and teaching universities, having earned both national and international standing, and is now aiming for recognition as a world-leading university. Many of the university’s academic staff are also engaged in research of national and international significance, making it one of Britain’s leading centers of academic research. Research conducted in Cardiff’s School of Social Sciences, where health professionals can enroll in an online PhD UK program in Health Studies (DHS), has been ranked of an international standard.
The online PhD UK Professional Doctorate in Health Studies is intended for health care professionals who would like to develop a research-aware professional practice. Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s and a Master’s in a related field, and at least two years of relevant professional experience. They should also have access to professional workplaces for practice and evaluation.
During the first part of the program, scholars are required to take eight taught modules, which will each require an on-campus attendance of two-and-a- half days. Reading assignments will be provided a month before the module and students will be required to complete writing assignments or other activities to assess their progress. Upon completion of the modules, online PhD UK DHS candidates will be formally registered for their thesis and assigned an adviser. The thesis should be around 50,000 words and the scholar is required to submit work for assessment reviews until the completion of the project.
The taught component is expected to be completed in two years, and the thesis in another two years; although candidates are given a maximum of seven years to finish the DHS program.
