Online PhD Degree Programs-Bowling Green State University

Today’s blog with our series of online PhD degree programs is mainly about an American university, offering distance PhD in Technology management. Bowling Green State University was originally a teacher-training institution with the name Bowling Green Normal School in the year 1910. The first class with degrees in elementary school instruction graduated in 1915. Then after, in 1929 liberal arts was added in the curriculum and in 1935 business administration was then an addition to the program. In 1947, Bowling Green began offering postgraduate studies and in 1965 the university put up a branch campus which was called Bowling Green State University-Firelands College that was located in Huron, Ohio. Currently its is known as Bowling Green State University which is a four-year coeducational public institution located in Bowling Green, Ohio, about 40 km or about 25 miles south of Toledo.





Bowling Green State University still remains a leading institution for the preparation of teachers. Also, within School of Communication Studies reside the national and international award-winning Falcon Forensics, Speech and Debate Team which was established in the year 1919. As of now, BGSU also offers bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral degrees and even distance masters and online PhD degree programs in the field of the arts and sciences, the health sciences, education, business administration and the humanities.

Bowling Green State University offers online education in which there is personal interaction with their instructor, partnership with classmates, and a first class education favorable to their schedule and their convenience. One of its notable online degrees in the PhD is in technology management which offers five specializations, such as Construction Management, Digital Communications, Human Resource Development and Training, Manufacturing Systems, and Quality Systems. You need a minimum of 90 credits of graduate study to complete this distance PhD program. Applications for admission can be submitted twice a year (in mid January or in mid August). As an entry requirement, you need Bachelors degree from a recognized university. If you want to submit your application, apart from admission application, you need to send your original transcripts, recent and up-to-date GRE scores, letter about three years of work experience (verified by your employer), your career goal statement, five letters of recommendations and lastly your current CV.





It is important to point out that current program also requires some residency (for a calendar year, you need a minimum of 18 semester hours residency) as a part of this course. This requirement should be completed during the second third of the course work. Or most students try to complete this requirement after 15-24 hours of Consortium coursework.     Thank you for a great wealth of information. I’m wondering if you know of PHD programs in creative writing, or Literature and Criticism that have no GRE requirement.
