Practicing educational psychologists are invited to apply to UCL’s flexible Continuing Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology (DEdPsy). The intensive 4-year online PhD UK program combines advanced research training with a focus on practice, allowing participants to undertake applied research into pressing contemporary issues in the field while developing an evidence-based practice.
Applicants to the online PhD UK DEdPsy program are required to have a Masters-level qualification recognized by the British Psychological Society, two letters of recommendation affirming the candidate’s ability to complete the program and an initial research proposal. The DEdPsy has both taught and research components which require students to be on campus for 43 days to attend study sessions, which are spread out over the duration of the program, and to devote five hours a week to their doctorate studies.
Assessment requirements leading to the award of the online PhD UK DEdPsy are four 7,000-word professional assignments that illuminate facets of current or future practice in the field of educational psychology and an applied research project of 30,000 to 40,000 words that will make a significant contribution to the knowledge base of in the field while displaying evidence of original research.
