Basically, this online PhD UK program is geared towards developing engineers that are able to innovate the application of engineering knowledge in the field. The doctorate degree is awarded after four years of hard work, 70 to 80 percent of it is spent in the collaborating company.
To qualify as a student of this program, one is required to be a graduate of any branch of engineering. Also, the eligibility requirements of EPSRC are a must. Experienced engineers already employed in the construction industry are also welcome to apply as a student of this program. Once admitted, one will be exposed to the four different specializations of this program. This includes Advanced Information and Communication Technologies, Sustainability, Innovative Construction and Production Technologies, and Innovative Business Processes.
The usual months of entry for this online PhD UK program are April, July, October, and December. Usually, only 11 to 20 students are being accepted for each school opening. For study support, a tax-free stipend is being provided for around 13,500 Euros. For Registered Engineers, the industrial sponsor can also provide a minimum of 3,000 Euros as a study grant.
