Historically, the University of South Australia (UniSA) dates back to 1856, when it was still known as the South Australian School of Arts. If this will be honored, UniSa is one of the oldest of all art schools in Australia. However, with the merger of the South Australian School of Arts and the College of Advanced Education in 1991, UniSa was born.
