Online PhD Degree programs – The University of Queensland – Professional Doctorate in Science (Forestry) (DScFor)

If you are one of those busy people who don’t have time for school but still wish to attain a higher degree in your field, online PhD degree programs are now offered by the University of Queensland; Australia’s fifth oldest university and one of the best public institutions in the country. One of the online PhD degree programs it offers is a Professional Doctorate in Science (Forestry).
Why study in UQ? It is one of the top ranking research universities and it has notable research instituted and facilities, including the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, the Cooperative Research Center for Enterprise Distributed Systems Technology, and the Institute for Social Science Research. The Doctor of Science in Forestry is a postgraduate research program where candidates will submit a thesis drawing from a material that each of them have previously produced or published in the area. Each material must be original and must contribute to Science and extended the theme of work.
Students who wish to apply for the program must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry in no less than 5 years standing the same university; a Master in Science in Forestry; or a Doctor of Philosophy who has carried out some research in a related field). The students will have submitted research work which highly contributes to the knowledge in forestry. The submitted material will be examined and judged by 3 appointed peers, two of which will be external examiners.
Candidates for the online PhD degree programs, such that of the Science in Forestry course, must be enrolled 12 months prior to the submission of research. A candidate’s significant contribution to agricultural science will award him the degree. All applications will be lodged through the School of Integrative Systems.
