1. Joint Doctor of Education in Agricultural Education

Texas Tech offers a Doc @ Distance joint degree which was founded in the year 2000, along with the introduction of 20 mid-career professionals coming from Texas. The joint degree program is given by Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University. The Joint Doctor of Education in agricultural education is delivered at a distance and offered along with the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications at TTU. Graduates of this joint program generally work in the instructional, administrative, and supervisory positions in any of the education and training professions.

2. Doctor of Education in Higher Education

An online Doctor of education (EdD) in higher education is mainly focused on community college administration or university education administration.  The whole program consists of 60 credit hours of online course work. To get admission, you must have a Bachelor degree (with higher grades) or a Masters degree in Any field of study. You also need two years of  professional experience in public or private sector or 4 years of experience in a higher education institution. Majority of your coursework will be completed online but you must need to attend the first full week at university campus (for each of the first three years).

3. Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction (concentration in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education)

This hybrid PhD program is a combination of online and face to face intense summer meetings. The emphasis of this program is curriculum and teacher education for professionals in the fields of research and teaching. The program has 66 credit hours of course format with final dissertation and viva. To get admission, you must need Masters degree in a related area of research from a recognized university. You also need acceptable GRE scores with minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

4. Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction (Specialization in STEM Education)

The design of this course revolves around specialization in STEM Education. The PhD program can prepare professional educators in 3 ways:
1. Become University STEM educators
2. Stem Educators in K-12 environments
3. State leaders involve in STEM Education

The Program has a global overview for STEM education to give its students right skills and research ideas for K-12 students. To get admission in this programs, you must have a Masters in STEM science, math, technology or engineering. You also need professional teaching experience in technology, sciences or engineering. You are also required to present coursework experience (undergraduate or graduate coursework) in any of STEM fields. To complete this program, you must need 66 credit hours of coursework.

5. Doctor of Philosophy in Systems & Engineering Management

This online PhD program in System and Engineering management is designed for engineering professional to give them further understanding about leadership issues in real environments. You are required to complete 72 credit hours of coursework with online facilities. To get admission, with your complete admission form, you also need recent GRE Scores. You must have 3.5 GPA or above in a related M.S program. with a complete admission form, you have to  submit your transcripts with 3 letters of professional recommendations. International students also need recent TOEFL or IELTS scores.

6. Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Communication & Rhetoric

This 60 credit hours coursework is design to improve your skills in technical communication. The course structure include online classes in editing, design, online documentation, usability testing and many more. Please note that students are only allow to take one course in each semester. To complete this course (apart from online coursework) you also need to attend a two week workshop (each year), a qualifying examination and a final thesis.
