Online PhD Degree Programs-Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

Founded in 1887, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (more popularly known as RMIT) is one of Australia’s leading providers of vocational education. It is also noted as a pioneer in dual-sector education, which encompasses both tertiary and vocational education, and is now the largest institute of its type in Australia. It is also a founding member of the Australian Technology Network, whose member-institutions offer applied courses to students who are preparing to enter their chosen careers. RMIT has three main campuses in Melbourne as well as Vietnam; RMIT Vietnam is that country’s only fully foreign-owned university. Enrollment in RMIT currently totals 70,000 students, encompassing its four campuses as well as those enrolled in online and distance education courses and at RMIT’s partner institutions abroad.
RMIT is offering online PhD degree programs by published work offering a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy. To qualify, an applicant must be either have graduated from RMIT with a degree of Master by Research, a Master degree by coursework which includes a research program of at least one semester duration or a Bachelor degree with at least upper second class honors; a graduate of another recognized educational institution; an established researcher; or have other recognized qualifications or experience.
To apply for online PhD degree programs by publication, the candidate must submit a comprehensive and updated curriculum vitae, a list of published works (which have been peer-reviewed) to be submitted towards completion of the doctorate and statements explaining the extent of the applicant’s authorship in co-authored work, with a confirmatory statement from co-authors. The applicant should also submit an online of their integrative essay; if further research needs to be carried out, a statement explaining how much more needs to be done and how it will be completed should also be written.
Once the submission has been certified as worthy of examination for admission to online PhD degree programs, the candidate must submit a collection of previously published work which has been referred by peers, a substantive integrative essay and a signed statement which states that the material represent the candidate’s work alone, except where acknowledged, and has not been submitted for any other academic award.
