The University of the West of England (UWE) now offers an online PhD UK in Business Administration. The university is located in the city of Bristol, England and was formerly known as Bristol Polytechnic. It currently holds over 30,000 students and about 86% of which, are from state schools. It’s a mid-table university divided into 6 faculties which includes the Bristol Business School.
The Professional Doctorate in Business Administration programme that UWE offers is a four year course comprising taught element and an independent research project. Years 1 and 2 will include the use of modules and the integration of research methods. Formal presentations and written reports will be part of it. Years 3 and 4 will focus on the research project. Students will be under individual supervisory support. During the final project phase, a progression of exams will also take place including essays or viva voce examinations.
Entry requirements for the online PhD UK in Business Administration include a Masters Degree in the field or in an allied area, and students must hold an authoritative position in the organisation which they are currently a part of. The course content initially includes Principles and Practices of Management Research for year 1, Case Based Organisational Research for year 2, Project Definition and Refinement in year 3, and the research project in year four.
