Queen’s University Belfast of Northern Ireland now gives you a chance to finish an online PhD UK in Theology. The university is another member of the Russell Group, an association of UK’s top 20 research intensive universities. Queen’s University Belfast is also part of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, and Universities Ireland. The university boasts of 20 competent schools. It is significantly associated with the Institute of Theology which consists of many colleges, each of which has a Christian emphasis.
The Professional Doctorate in Theology programme focuses on unique and innovative research strategies, such that it would cover a wide range of theological discipline coupled with doctoral supervision; Other than historical and textual bases, which the doctoral course usually relies on, missiological and pastoral theology will also be inculcated in the programme.
Admission to this online PhD UK or research programme requires at least second honours degree in the field or equivalent. Only those who are able to submit a satisfactory thesis and pass the oral examination will be conferred with a Doctorates Degree. The program runs for about 6-9 months full time, and 12-18 months part time. All decisions including admission of students, nomination of examiners, appointment of supervisors, and monitoring of progress will be given by the Theology Postgraduate Research Committee (TPRC).
