The eligibility criteria for applying for the scholarship are that the international student must have an unconditional offer of a place in a graduate research degree course. The value of the PhD scholarship for international students includes the following benefits:
- A living allowance of $23,728 per annum at the base rate applicable in 2012.
- International students who are relocating from interstate would get $2000 as relocation grant and $3000 for students who relocate from overseas.
- $840 as a thesis allowance
- Paid maternity, sick and parenting leave is also granted to the international students under the PhD scholarship program.
The candidates awarded with the PhD scholarship get an opportunity to work with the industry and prepare them to excel in their field. The candidates are given the opportunity to work with the industry experts and develop their writing for the commercial publication. The university runs a three stage program to assist their research scholars to publish their research for non-specialist and international audience.
