The Henley Business School at the University of Reading is offering you exceptional opportunity to take significant research on business as well as establish and improve your intellectual capacity, creativity, and critical thinking. It provides as much as 24 PhD scholarships granted to research students who wanted to perform full-time postgraduate research for the school year 2012-13. Every scholarship amounts to 15,000 pounds along with University fees. Take note that these scholarships are being offered annually and can be renewed at the end of every school year, but still subjected to your academic performance for 3 years. For this school year, the application for scholarship will still be accepted until June 30, 2012.

All of the applicants of the university’s business school (Henley Business School) are being considered for the postgraduate research PhD scholarships.Each of the scholarships pays full tuition fees for the qualified recipient’s first year of study, which is also renewable for 2 years depending on your performance. For the coverage of all or part of the living costs, the successful grant recipient may have an option to apply for a bursary.
For school year 2012-2013, the School of Law of the university of Reading will be offering up to three scholarships for students who are enrolling its PhD programme. Each of these scholarships will receive tuition fees amounting to 3,825 pounds annually and be afforded with a research allowance of 250 pounds yearly for successful full-time scholarship candidates. The scholarships will be offered for three years, still base of the candidate’s satisfactory academic progress. Although there are opportunities for teaching during their candidacy, recipients of PhD scholarships will not be compelled to teach. However, they are not offered with stipend attached. Qualified applicants for these scholarships are EU, UK, and International students. Applicants are required to have distinction or high masters degree merit upon PhD commencement. They are expected to submit research proposal with 1,000-2,500 words outlining its context, reviewing its literature, stating questions, having appropriate methodology, and having realistic timeline for research that may be completed in 3 years. They may also possess high 2:1 or first class undergraduate degree or its equivalent. They need not to submit scholarship application since all applicants for PhD programme in law will be considered for the scholarship. Applications for the October 2012 admission will be accepted until May 11, 2012 and those for entry in the academic year will be accepted not later than February 28, 2013.
The law school is offering scholarships across the Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) financed by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). These ESRC DTC scholarships are applicable to postgraduate research students in law. Successful applicants (citizens and residents of UK) will receive stipend about 13,600 annually and fees. Moreover, Felix Scholarships are offered to Indian nationals or those from developing countries with postgraduate masters or research degree.
The university of reading also offers PhD scholarships for Graduate Institute of Politics and International Studies or GIPIS which supports a PhD programme in a full time basis. The scholarships are available for 3 years depending on the eligibility of the applicant.
