Online PhD UK-Bucks New University UK

A PhD by Publication award—a good online PhD UK possibility—is available from Buckinghamshire New University. The university, finding its origins in 1893 with an unpopular tax fund that grew so large an educational institution, a Science and Art School, emerged from it, had only recently been named Buckinghamshire New University, with full mandate as an official university. But even as far back as 1989 the educational institution that grew from a substantial tax fund had become an independent higher Education Corporation. In 1992, it became a college of Brunel University, and in 1999 the college was given university college status, along with degree awarding powers. But it was only in October 2007 that the new name, and the official investiture of university status, was given.
Now, alongside many of UK’s universities also offering online PhD UK programs, Buckinghamshire New University can award a PhD on the basis of publication to anyone graduated from or employed full-time for three years with the university who can submit a previously published work that has been in a high quality journal, on a related theme, and has contributed in the knowledge in its area or particular field.
Of course, an oral examination or defence is required—attended by a panel of examiners who would determine the candidate’s proficiency in the field and eligibility to be awarded the PhD—and is one of the few times the candidate for the PhD by publications is required to be physically present. Several other online PhD UK programs share the same requirements and prerequisites, the only major difference is the higher education institution the candidate hails from.
