Online PhD Degree Programs – Utica College

The roots of what would become Utica College were sown in the 1930s when Syracuse University started offering extension courses in Utica, New York; upon the prompting of community and business leaders, Syracuse launched Utica College a decade later, in 1946. The College became legally and financially independent in 1995.
UC offers 37 undergraduate degrees in 60 academic fields, 16 master’s degrees, 2 doctoral programs that include online PhD degree programs, and 4 graduate-level certificate programs. The College is best-known, however, for its health science education and it is a good place to enroll in to get your doctorate in Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT).
Students enrolled in tDPT online PhD degree programs enjoy a flexible curriculum that allows them to earn their doctorate while juggling their career and personal responsibilities. Based on their educational attainment and previous work experience, students need to take only certain courses in the curriculum, allowing them to finish their tDPT in as little as a year. Residency requirements for the program are also limited, requiring only a short on-site residency at the start of the program to complete some administrative requirements, as well as to network with your peers.
Candidates for tDPT online PhD degree programs don’t need to have a Master’s degree to qualify; any licensed physical therapist in the US may be admitted, even if they only have a certificate or bachelor’s degree. Admission requirements include proof of graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist program with GPA of 3.0 or higher; professional portfolio; current state professional license; two letters of recommendation and brief admissions essay about your goals in entering the tDPT program.
