Kingston University is now one of the English universities that offer online PhD UK courses. Today, it also offers an online PhD UK programme in Business Administration. The university, formerly known as the Kingston Technical Institute in 1899, gained university status in 1992 and is now one of the leading research institutions in the United Kingdom; with several research groups and research centers. It is organized into 7 academic faculties. The Business and Law Faculty alone has a number of specialist research unit covering principal business disciplines. The faculty also achieved the highest grade point average among all post-1992 University Business Schools in the Research Assessment Exercise in 2008.
The Professional Doctorate in Business Administration programme is a part-time programme taken 4 years minimum and 8 years maximum. It is one of the first three DBA programmes to internationally receive accreditation from no other than the Association of MBA’s. The programme aims to allow professionals at senior management level to obtain a doctoral-level qualification directly relevant to each of their chosen profession. Students will be able to build upon what they’ve learned from their MBA and develop professional excellence through an academically challenging and profession relevant programme.
Those interested in this online PhD UK programme may apply if they have an honours degree or a Masters degree in general management or a business-related subject, as well as two personal and satisfactory references. The course structure is divided into four. Year 1 will begin with Research Design and Data Collection and end in Research in Business Practice. Year two will initially cover Research Colloquium and culminate with Business Research Workshops. Year three and Four will begin and end with the same units bit will mostly focus on the final research.
