Vice Chancellor’s International Award from University of Central Lancashire for 2014-15

The University of Central Lancashire is a university that finds roots in Preston, Lancashire, England. The university hasn’t been a university for very long as it was founded in 1828 but only achieved university status in 1992 by the Privy Council. The University of Central Lancashire has been known under many additional names from Harris Art College, Lancashire Polytechnic, Preston Polytechnic as well as a few others. The University of Central Lancashire is host one of the largest student populations of any UK university. Through the dedicated partnership between many different organizations and countries international students now have the opportunity to register in undergraduate and postgraduate studies with the university. The University of Central Lancashire caters to almost twenty different countries from around the world anywhere from Europe, Asia, Africa, to the Middle East, and the Americas. In many cases the international students are offered the chance to study complete programmes of study with the university. The university enjoys the motto “From the Earth to the sun” which is roughly translated to “Ex solo ad solem” and uses this motto to help ensure that people from every day walks of life regardless of where they are from make the most of their abilities and potential.

The university provides many PhD scholarships as well as other funding to help ease the financial strain associated with furthering education. The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is one of the graduate and PhD scholarships available for international students. The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is awarded to students of the highest academic merit. The award gives £1,500 GBP yearly. To be eligible:

The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is a superb scholarship for those in need of PhD scholarships. The scholarship is intended for full time study programmes. It is renewed yearly for as long as the applicant remains eligible which is determined by the above criteria. The scholarship is awarded for any course of study that the university provides as long as the applicant remains in a full time programme of study. The opportunities provided by the University of Central Lancashire are endless and with available PhD scholarships available all that is left to do is apply.
