Vice Chancellor’s International Award from University of Central Lancashire for 2014-15
The University of Central Lancashire is a university that finds roots in Preston, Lancashire, England. The university hasn’t been a university for very long as it was founded in 1828 but only achieved university status in 1992 by the Privy Council. The University of Central Lancashire has been known under many additional names from Harris Art College, Lancashire Polytechnic, Preston Polytechnic as well as a few others. The University of Central Lancashire is host one of the largest student populations of any UK university. Through the dedicated partnership between many different organizations and countries international students now have the opportunity to register in undergraduate and postgraduate studies with the university. The University of Central Lancashire caters to almost twenty different countries from around the world anywhere from Europe, Asia, Africa, to the Middle East, and the Americas. The university provides many PhD scholarships as well as other funding to help ease the financial strain associated with furthering education. The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is one of the graduate and PhD scholarships available for international students. The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is awarded to students of the highest academic merit. The award gives £1,500 GBP yearly. To be eligible:
- International undergraduate applicants with A-Levels or the equivalent BBB grades or above 300 UCAS tariff points.
- International postgraduate applicants with the equivalent of a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree.
- When providing evidence of academic merit and grades the University of Central Lancashire uses their International Admissions Team will determine the qualification and award the scholarship accordingly. A separate application form is not needed to be filled out. This means that each applicant will be judged individually and the most deserving of the award will be recipients.
The Vice Chancellor’s International Award is a superb scholarship for those in need of PhD scholarships. The scholarship is intended for full time study programmes. It is renewed yearly for as long as the applicant remains eligible which is determined by the above criteria. The scholarship is awarded for any course of study that the university provides as long as the applicant remains in a full time programme of study.
