Vice-Chancellor Scholarships from Manchester Metropolitan University UK for 2014-15

North West England-based Manchester Metropolitan University or MMU is one of the top British universities based on its teaching quality and standards. MMU received its university status in 1992 and is regarded as one of the most expensive centres for extensive education in Europe. It sets apart from any other universities mainly because of its combined traditional and contemporary teaching and learning. With the myriad courses offered at the university and with the skyrocketing rates of these studies, MMU offers PhD scholarship to deserving students including its Vice-Chancellor scholarships specifically designed for international students in Great Britain for school year 2014-2015.

Vice-Chancellor Scholarships are offered to students who pursue postgraduate at MMU. These PhD scholarships require applicants to have conditional or unconditional offer for certain course. They are about being funded with MMU appropriating £150,000 scholarship funding to back the international students at MMU. They are specially developed to aid the postgraduate and undergraduate study of the international students.

Interested international students should download the application form and be submitted on or before June 30, 2014 for the undergraduate students and on November 15 for the postgraduate students. They are given to students who are overseas students. However, they are not available to students who are currently enrolled at MMU. Application will not process if you did not apply any course at MMU. They provide successful students with £2,500 financial aid to students enrolled on full time undergraduate programmes and £3,000 for postgraduate programmes. They are offered by the Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship Committee for one school year financial assistance. The Committee based the award to outstanding personal profile and academic merit set out in a motivation letter.

Undergraduate students interested on PhD scholarships should have a place offered on undergraduate course for September 2014 enrollment. They should not be registered on any course for September 2014 admission or January 2015 enrollment and not an existing postgraduate course registered student. Application can be done through post, fax or email to vcscholarships@mmu.ac.uk. Once the form and all other requirements are submitted, students will be notified on the progress of their scholarship application in August 2014 for those courses that will start in September 2014 and in December 5, 2014 for courses that will start in January 2015. They will be made available through tuition fee reduction that students may pay upon their registration at MMU. Also, take into account that scholars or recipients tend to authorise the University in using their personal details for the purpose of promotion. Scholars may also be asked to offer a case study that can be used on MMU’s website or publications. MMU also reserves its own right for terms and conditions update.
