International Research Scholarships from University of Brighton for 2014-15

The University of Brighton is a university in the United Kingdom that enrolls over 21,000 students from five different campuses in Brighton, Hastings on the south coast of England, and Eastbourne. The University can trace its history back to 1859 when the school opened up as the Brighton School of Art at the Brighton Royal Pavilion.

The University of Brighton is a history rich university that graduates professionals. The school has been able to boast that roughly 87% of graduates whether they hold postgraduate degrees or other certification awards are employed within six months of commencing their studies at Brighton.

With such impressive statistics it is no wonder that the University of Brighton attracts such a large student base and even an international student base. Postgraduate students come from all around the world to study and the university is pleased to be able to supply these students with PhD scholarships.

The University of Brighton is currently offering four international research scholarships to outstanding international PhD research students in any area of study available at the university. The PhD scholarships offer half off the cost of tuition fees for the applicants research programme for a maximum of three years.

The criteria and eligibility for the PhD scholarships are as follows:

In order to apply for this scholarship, applicants need to email internationalscholarships@brighton.ac.uk and provide your personal application number in the subject line. A representative from the school will send you the official scholarship application package once the email is received. Application packets will only be sent to those students that have already accepted a full time position with the University of Brighton. The deadline for the applications are at the end of June, October, and February depending on the start date.

The University of Brighton is also offering two research PhD scholarships funded by Santander Universities in the amount of £5,000 each. These additional scholarships are available to research students studying at the University of Brighton. The criteria and eligibility are as follows:

To apply for one of these scholarships candidates should email santander@brighton.ac.uk with their student number and a request for an application form. A representative from the school will then send the additional information needed. The deadline for this scholarship is 1 July for October entry and 1 October for January or May entry.
