Fifty 7th Century PhD Studentships from University of St. Andrews for 2014-15

As the first university in Scotland, University of St. Andrews has already established strong reputation of being one of the most unique and leading research and teaching centres in Europe. The university was formed in 1413 and became the 3rd oldest institution in the world whose medium of language is English. It serves as a student community housing a great number of students with different nationalities. It is considered as the leading research institutions in the world for its strong commitment in excellent teaching. With its dedication to student excellence, the university offers students in need of financial assistance through its scholarships that can vary based on their study area and whether or not they are classed as International or Home student for the purpose of fees. Its 50 7th Century PhD scholarships.

University of St. Andrews invests in as much as 50 7th Century PhD Studentships, which are primarily designed and developed to back students who have great ambition with potential to become leading researchers across the globe. These PhD scholarships can be accessed by student, applicants starting September 2014 for studies in the areas of sciences, medicine and arts and humanities. It is then recommended that students would choose the significant programme to find the scholarships where they are eligible as potential recipient of the PhD scholarships. They cover fees for overseas and home students and a stipend given annually for 3 years.

Note that the PhD scholarships come from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, which aims to back the university’s postgraduate scholarships and Arts and Humanities training. The applications for these scholarships will be managed by the individual schools. Each school has its own set of their internal application deadline with special deadline for School of International Relations on February 3 and for School of Divinity on January 15.

Make certain that applicants should meet all the entrance requirements prior to any application for any research programme. Scholarship hopefuls are advised to make early application to become successful to find the right funding. Pointed out is the fact that most scholarships may require students to have received an offer for funding consideration.

Applications for research programme or PhD scholarships should include supplementary documentation such as resume/curriculum vitae, research proposal, academic written work sample, two original academic references, degree certificates and academic transcripts and a certificate for English language requirements.
