20 Fully Funded PhD Scholarships at Northumbria University UK
Formally known as the University of Northumbria, it is the second university located at Newcastle, England. It was formerly called Newcastle Polytechnic but was later established as a university in 1992. The university offers 30 comprehensive and frequently chosen courses throughout its four faculties namely:
- Faculty of Business and Law
- Faculty of Design, Arts and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Life Sciences and Health
- Faculty of Environment & Engineering
Northumbria University is the largest university at northeast, England, a member of the University Alliance and the best professional university with an international reputation for excellence in different academic disciplines.
Currently, there are 20 PhD scholarships that international and local students can apply to. Some will only be able to accommodate self-funded PhD students who have access to their own funding but the rest of the studentships are able to provide a generous stipend to successful applicants.
Applicants who exhibit the qualities suited for the PhD scholarships will be granted the full £13,863 per year. The selection process will be strict and applications will be thoroughly examined due to the restrictions in the number of slots available.
Requirements:
- Applicants should have first class honours degree or its close equivalent, upper second class honours degree from a higher education institution in the United Kingdom
- Previous experiences in a related field
- Non-EU students should hold equivalent academic qualifications
- Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score of not less than 6.5.

The PhD scholarships accept applications all year round unless otherwise stated above. All interested students should submit their applications at their earliest convenience because all of the scholarships are at first come, first serve basis.
